Puthucode is a small village in Palakkad district of Kerala state, south India. It is a panchayat under Alathur Taluk in Palakkad district. It is home to an old Bhagavathy Temple - around 400 years old called Shree Annapoorneswari Temple, which is located in the centre of four streets: South, East, North, and West. Each street is referred to as a village. At the end of North Village, there is a Shiva temple and a water tank. Next to the Shiva temple, a mandapam called Shiva Mahal has been built. Shiva Mahal includes an elementary school, a high school, a Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan branch centre, and an Ayurvedic Hospital. Despite a historically large Brahmin population, Puthucode is also home to a newly built mosque at Karapethai.
