Trophic function is defined by Kolmogorov predator-prey system of equation, also called as Kolmogorov predator-prey model. It has generalized the linear case of predator-prey interaction firstly described by Volterra and Lotka in Lotka-Volterra equation. Trophic function represents the power of the predator to consume the preys under given number of the predators. Application of the trophic function (also referred as the functional response) was widely done in chemical kinetics, biophysics, mathematical physics and economics. Predator and prey in economics are various economic parameters such as price and output (number of produced goods), outputs of the linked sectors (processing and supply ones) which were found to have similar character of relationship as the one for magnitudes in chemical kinetics where various predators and preys actually interact with each other.
