     Dr Andrew Crawley, Marie Curie Research Fellow at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign, said that, following the demise of the Welsh Development Agency (WDA) in 2006, the relationship between UKTI and the Welsh Government had gone through “a very dark period” with poor communication and co-ordination.
