Misspelling of Classical Latin calcārius (“pertaining to lime”), from calx (“limestone, lime, chalk”) + -ārius. The spelling with -eus could have been influenced by the distinct suffix -eus, or it could simply be a result of the homophony of -ius and -eus in some pronunciation styles.
First/second-declension adjective.
