Uduvil (Tamil: உடுவில்),is a small village about seven miles from the Northern [[Sri Lanka] city of Jaffna. Uduvil Girls College, an important landmark in Uduvil was the first ladies boarding school in Asia. This school was first established in 1824 by Harriet Winslow. The college currently has over 2000 students. Aalady, Mathavady,1st mile post(muthalaankadaiyady), Uduvil church, Malvum Catholic church, Love lane, Church lane, puliyadi olungai(Arc lane)and Dutch road are all important landmarks in Uduvil.
