Yeshu (ישו in Hebrew) and Yeshua (ישוע in Hebrew) is the spelling of the Latin Jesu and English Jesus given in Reuben Alcalay's The Complete Hebrew-English Dictionary and widely used in modern secular Hebrew. Yeshu is the spelling given in Ben Yehuda's classic Hebrew Dictionary. However Hebrew translations of the New Testament usually employ the spelling Yeshua (ישוע in Hebrew).
