From Middle English Jesu, from the vocative (かつ genitive, etc) form Jēsū of Latin Jēsūs, and also reflective of the vocative (かつ genitive, etc) form Ἰησοῦ (Iēsoû) of Ancient Greek Ἰησοῦς (Iēsoûs).
