The V8SuperTourer Championship is the next step in New Zealand Motorsport which will have the limit of sixteen Cars. Already NZV8 Driver John McIntyre has confirmed the switch to the V8SuperTourer Championship in 2012 who is going to run a two Car Ford FG Falcon team and Kiwi touring car legend Greg Murphy has confirmed that he is going to be racing for the first round at Hampton Downs Raceway in February 2012. Scott McLaughlin & Andy Booth are two more drivers confirmed for 2012's championship and already fifthteen of the sixteen cars have been sold. Testing started in April 2010.
