alpidic (comparative more alpidic, superlative most alpidic)

1. Of or pertaining to the Alps or features related to the Alpine region. It is often used in geology and geography to describe types of mountain ranges or terrain that resemble the Alps. For example, "alpidic" might describe mountain chains formed through similar tectonic processes or have similar geological features to those found in the Alps.

     Because of the arcuate form of the alpidic folds, the Iberian block is surrounded by them not only on the south side, like Germany, but also on the north side.
