1. A situation in which the first occurrences of a rare event happen together, presumably independently.

   The first two prime numbers with over 10 million digits were found just two weeks apart on August 23, 2008 and September 6, 2008, so this is an example of an initclust.

   The first occurrence of "305" in the digits of pi is immediately followed by the second, so this is also an example of an initclust. The digits of pi are believed to be independent.
