The Sonkar are a Hindu caste found in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh in India. They are sub-caste of the Khateek community. Historically, the Sonksr were a community of dyers. They are divided into a number of exogamous clans, the main ones being the Magariya, Gotiya and Jaraliya. The community speak the Bundelkhandi dialect of Hindi. In Uttar Pradesh, they are found mainly in the districts of Hamirpur and Jhansi. | 意味 |
