An arepa is a dish made of ground corn dough or cooked corn flour, popular in Colombia, Venezuela and the rest of Latin America. It is similar to the Mesoamerican tortilla and even more to the Salvadoran pupusa. Arepas can also be found in Panama and the Canary Islands.
