Issa T. Salomi (born January 6, 1949) is an Iraqi American civilian contractor who was kidnapped on January 23, 2010, and held by a Shiite Iraqi militia group. They demanded the release of Iraqi prisoners, all of Assyrian ethnicity, withdrawal of all foreign troops from Iraq, the prosecution of security contractors employed by Blackwater Worldwide and compensation to Iraqi families.
