A slave journal is a diary kept by the submissive partner in a power-exchange relationship, often at the direction of the Dominant partner. The Submissive, or slave, may be required to document things such as number of times they have used the bathroom, detailed descriptions of their bodily functions or other extremely personal information. They may be required to write down any and all sexual acts that transpire in extremely graphic language and read it aloud, or have the Dominant read it to them, with or without other parties present. There are many online slave journals, which facilitate public humiliation of the Submissive. They may similarly be required to keep a punishment journal, in which they must detail all aspects of punishments they have received.
