Haystack was a never-completed software whose announced intended use was for network traffic obfuscator and encryptor. It was being promoted as a tool to circumvent internet censorship in Iran.. Right after the release of the first test version, reviewers concluded the software didn't live up to the promises, and would indeed leave its user's computers more vulnerable.
