Hell Night is a 1981 American independent horror film (with elements of Creature Features). Tom DeSimone directed the film, which was written by Randy Feldman and stars Linda Blair. The film depicts a night of fraternity hazing ("hell night") set in an old manor, during which a deformed maniac terrorizes and murders many of the college students. The film has a huge cult following and is a fan favorite due to the creepy location footage, excellent cinematography, likable characters and a haunting musical score. The Anchor Bay DVD release has an excellent commentary detailing the making of the film.

Hellnight (sometimes spelled Hell Night) or also known as Dark Messiah is a Japanese first-person survival horror video game developed and published by Atlus Co. in collaboration with Konami in 1998. The game's popularity was low, possibly because it wasn't released outside of Japan and Europe and had little media attention, however the game did get a small cult following due to the increasing popularity of horror games in recent years. The game was released in Japan under the title Dark Messiah and released as Hellnight in Europe.
