From Middle English unmight, onmiȝt, from 古期英語 unmiht, unmeht, unmeaht (“weakness; lack of power”), from Proto-Germanic *unmahtiz (“inability; weakness”), equivalent to un- (“lack または absence of”) + might.
Cognate with Dutch onmacht, German Ohnmacht, Icelandic ómáttur (“unmight”).
