Garibaldi Battalionとは 意味・読み方・使い方

The Garibaldi Battalion was a group of mostly Italian and Albanian volunteers that fought in the Spanish Civil War from October 1936 on. It was named after Giuseppe Garibaldi, an Italian military and political figure. It became part of the XII International Brigade, also known as the Garibaldi International Brigade. Mehmet Shehu, future Prime Minister of Albania, was among the volunteers. Other notable members include Petro Marko, Thimio Gogozoto and Asim Vokshi, one of the commanders of the battalion.
