Sean Michael Maurice Taylor (April 1, 1983 – November 27, 2007) was an American football free safety who played for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League. Taylor was drafted in the first round (fifth overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Redskins. He played college football at the University of Miami and was a member of the Hurricanes' 2001 National Championship team. Due to his ferocious hits, several of his pro teammates nicknamed him "Meast," an abbreviation for the term "half man, half beast."
