Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Ramanathapuramとは 意味・読み方・使い方

The Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Ramanathapuram is situated in Ramanathapuram city in Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu. The Diocese includes Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode and Karur districts. The Diocese of Ramanathapuram was created by bifurcating Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Palghat. The present Bishop of Ramanathapuram is Monsignor Paul Alappat. Holy Trinity Church, Ramanathapuram is the cathedral of the Diocese and the bishop residence is also at Ramanathapuram. The diocese is a suffragan diocese of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur. The diocese was created by Mar Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil, by his decree on January 18, 2010. The Diocese has an area of 18,525 sq. kms with a total population of 89, 24,717 of which around 15,694 are Syro-Malabar Catholics.
