The station is the flagship station of the Anastos Media Group (an ownership concern headed by veteran New York City TV anchor Ernie Anastos) and broadcasts at 6 kilowatts ERP from a tower in Stillwater. In addition to its key coverage area, WQAR is a rimshot into both Glens Falls and the tri-cities of Albany, Schenectady, and Troy.
