child labour (uncountable)
The domain of a limited degree of youth employment that is societally considered age-appropriate and unharmful, such as after-school jobs and summer jobs for which working papers are granted (e.g., paperboy, papergirl, babysitter, family farming), is usually not included within the scope of this term's denotation except for when ironic humor is employed; for example, "Little Susie likes to help Daddy mow the lawn, and Daddy shamelessly abets this child labour."
