語源

From 中期英語 dusshen, duschen, perhaps from 古期英語 dwǣsċan (“to put out, extinguish, destroy”) (see 中期英語 adweschen). Cognate with Middle Low German duschen, German dialectal duschen (“to beat, butt”). Compare also West Frisian dúste (“to push, thrust, poke”).
