1. An area in the New Territories of Hong Kong, on the border with China proper.
   • 1954 October, 'Boscawen', “The Kowloon-Canton Railway of Today”, in Railway Magazine, page 712:

     Any passengers travelling beyond Lo Wu must alight there for examination by British Constabulary (the actual personnel may be Chinese) and then walk over the river bridge to the Chinese Government posts.
