    4. to determine something by looking (with interrogative pronoun)

      Then the doctor looked at her to determine whether she was sick.
    5. to make sure that something happens, is done, etc.
      Lōcodest þū þæt þū fēddenne catt tweowa?
      Did you make sure to feed my cat twice?
