Strete is a village and civil parish on the A379 road and Start Bay in the South Hams district, in the county of Devon, England. Nearby settlements include Slapton and Stoke Fleming. Strete has a church called Church of St.Michael, Strete. In 2001 the population of the civil parish of Strete was 520. Strete was recorded in the Domesday Book as Estrete.
