1152 Pawona is a main belt asteroid orbiting the Sun. Approximately 16 kilometers in diameter, it makes a revolution around the Sun once every 4 years. It completes one rotation once every 3 hours. It was discovered by Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at Heidelberg, Germany on January 8, 1930. It was independently discovered by L. Volta in Pino Torinese on the January 19 and by Grigory Nikolaevich Neujmin at Simeis on January 28. Its name is a combination of the names of astronomers J. Palisa and M. Wolf, in recognition of their cooperation. The asteroid's provisional name was 1930 AD.
