There are places in the world which are considered holy, full of spiritual essence. Some of them are also called places of power- where unknown natural forces have created unique conditions. Ukraine has a whole row of such objects and places that are of international significance. Chernihiv is one of the oldest and most interesting cities in Ukraine and in Europe. St. Anthony’s caves were built in 1069 in Chernigiv by St. Anthony as part of the Eletsky Assumption monastery complex. It is a spiritual and holy place, it forms an underground monastery which is a complex of passageways, chambers and chapels.
