GeneReviews is an online collection of peer-reviewed articles that describe specific gene-releated diseases. Its articles focus on genetic testing and counseling for inherited conditions. Authors are established clinical and research experts, and articles are reviewed by other experts and by editorial staff at the U.S. National Center for Biotechnology Information. Articles are updated every two or three years according to a formal process, and are also revised as needed when research results in changes to clinically relevant information in the articles. Reviews are searchable by author, title, gene, and name of disease or protein.
