Niteflirt is a division of a San Francisco based company, Ingenio (this may no longer be true, now that Ingenio is owned by AT&T the Ingenio logos have disappeared from NiteFlirt), and offering pay-per-minute phone-sex services, both live and pre-recorded. Niteflirt functions as an Internet marketplace allowing independent phone-sex operators to seek customers and facilitate phone calls. It is one of three such sites operated by Ingenio, which also operates keen.com, a site facilitating a similar market for astrologers and psychics, and ingenio.com which offers professional advice. Ingenio takes a 20 percent cut of all calls made through Niteflirt, and in 2004 posted $67 million in revenue. One Niteflirt service provider, going by the alias Robin, was reported to have made $62,000 dollars using the website in 2008. As of 2005 Microsoft, eBay and the Carlyle Group each owned two percent or more of Ingenio. Robert Grady, managing director of the Carlyle Group, is on Ingenio's board of directors.
