Pilani is a town in the Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan, India. It is the home of the BK Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology,Birla Institute of Technology and Science,Shridhar University, the CEERI (Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute), and several other schools. Each institution is located in its own campus and in addition there is the original Pilani town comprising the whole area now known as Pilani.The country’s next assembling centre for the prestigious BrahMos missiles will be Rajasthan’s Pilani. The State Government has already allocated 80 hectares of land near Pilani town, better known for its Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani) for this purpose.
