Sheshma Riverとは 意味・読み方・使い方

The Sheshma (Russian: Шешма; Tatar Cyrillic: Шушма, Latin: Şuşma or Tatar Cyrillic: Чишмә, Latin: Çişmä) is a river in Tatarstan and Samara Oblast, Russian Federation, a left tributary of the Kama River, falling into the Kuybyshev Reservoir near Starosheshminsk. Its length is 259 km (227 of them in Tatarstan) and its drainage basin is 6,040 km². It origins in Samara Oblast, 28 km south of Leninogorsk, Tatarstan. Major tributaries are Forest Sheshma, Kuvak, Sekines, Kichuy, Talkysh Rivers. The maximal mineralization 600-700 mg/l. Average sediment in mouth per year is 112 mm. The river generally feeds with underground water in dry season. Drainage is regulated. There are major flood-plains in the middle and lower stream of Sheshma. Since 1978 it is protected as natural monument of Tatarstan. Shugurovo, Novosheshminsk and Starosheshminsk stay on the river.
