Stephen A. Cheek (born November 28, 1950) is an American author, best known for his popular fiction suspense novels. Cheek graduated from Mississippi State University in 1972. His degree was in landscape architecture. He first attended Holmes Community College in Goodman, Mississippi from 1969 until 1970. He began writing in the mid-1980s, during which he titled his first children's book Catfish Cowboy and Mr. Turtle. His first novel, Cane and Able was written in November 2008 and released in early 2009. His second novel, The Hunt, was published in November 2010.
