Talk:Tatarstanの英語

The town and city names in this article violate Wikipedia:Naming_conventions. The official names of the cities and towns in English can be found at the official Tatarstan http://www.tatar.ru/index.php?&node_id=791 web site. They are pretty much the same as the most commonly used Englih names. The official/most commonly used name should be used as an article title. Various spellings/former names can be listed in the specific article. It's wrong to name cities by names noone knows or uses. Specifically this applies to: Naberezhnye Chelny (Yar Çallı used in the article), Nizhnekamsk (Tübän Kama used), Almetyevsk (Älmät), Zelenodolsk (Yäşel Üzän), Bugulma (Bögelmä).
