Japandering (usually uncountable, plural Japanderings)

1. (slang, informal) The phenomenon of Western celebrities or actors appearing in Japanese television commercials, often for products they would not promote in their home countries; these ads are usually marked by an absurd, high-energy, or surreal tone, catering to Japanese consumer tastes.
