concatenation tree (plural concatenation trees)

1. (computer science) A tree data structure whose internal nodes represent the concatenation of their child branches.

     When working on the tree representations in our algorithms, we assume that the symbol [.] (v_l, v_r) means a concatenation tree with root "." and children v_l and v_r.
