Bodheswaranとは 意味・読み方・使い方

Bodheswaran (1901-1990) who made significant contributions to Kerala’s public life in the twentieth century was an example of many of the trends of Indian Renaissance. His parents Kunjan Pillai and Janaki Pillai had named him Kesavan. Born in Neyyattinkara a small town near Thiruvananthapuram in December 1901 Kesavan in his teens came under the influence of Swami Vivekananda. He left school and went to Sri. Narayana Guru with whom he spent about two years. He then wandered all over India, mainly in North and at Benares Viswantha Temple became Bodheswarananda. He was for some time at Bengal where he mixed with sanyasins, extreme nationalists, and also attended a huge congress meeting where he listened to Gandhiji, Motilal Nehru and Ali brothers. After some months in North India he returned to Narayana Guru and the Guru told him meet Chattampi Swamikal. Chattampi Swamikal became a profound influence on Bodheswarananda’s life.
