1. A Franco-Provençal variety spoken in the communities of Faeto and Celle di San Vito in Foggia, Italy.

     Faetar is held in high regard by its speakers: they recognize a certain amount of prestige in this marker of their distinctness from other southern Italians. […] All the natives of Faeto still speak Faetar on a daily basis, reserving Italian for communication with outsiders, and many emigrants continue to speak Faetar for several generations after leaving Faeto.

     This is a study of pronoun usage among Faetar speakers in the Toronto area. In English pronouns are almost always mandatory, in Italian they are often omitted (around 80% according to Nagy et al., 2011), but in Faetar they are variably present. Also, Faetar has two pronoun types, strong and weak.
