James Allen (born March 6, 1952) is a former American football player who was drafted in the 4th round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1974 NFL Draft. A 1970 graduate of Los Angeles High School, Allenplayed college football at Pierce College and UCLA. He played for the Steelers, where he won Super Bowls IX & X, and the Detroit Lions. His nickname during his playing career was "Spiderman." He was the lead singer on the Lions' 1980 recording of Another One Bites the Dust. He is currently homeless and living in Los Angeles, California.
