Ruvane Kurland (born July 19, 1978 in Burlington, IA), is a singer/songwriter from Ohio (originally Council Bluffs, IA), who formerly played in the band, Six String Ride. Kurland's song "Broken Down" is featured on the WGN America show, Around the World for Free, and "I Don't Know," was featured on the Chicagoland Musicians Compilation CD 2004 released by Sammary Studio. [1] His song "Good Morning," was used in a promotional video for restaurant chain, Noodles and Co. He has released four solo studio albums, one studio album with Six String Ride, one live tour documentary, and one live album. Kurland was chosen to perform for then-presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton [2] for a rally in Council Bluffs, IA in 2007. From 2004-2007, Kurland performed as part of acoustic-rock duo, Six String Ride, with singer/songwriter, Steve Wierman.
