TheSpeedGamers (also abbreviated as TSG) are a group of young people based out of Arlington, Texas, who raise money for various charities. They accomplish this by streaming live marathons of video games played over Justin.tv (formerly Ustream). The group was founded by Britt LaRiviere in early 2008 and still hosts marathons regularly. During their streams, viewers meet witty commentators like Philip Elder, Chase LaRiviere (Britt's brother), Rob Ostrout, Tyler Worthington and several others who chat about the game and the cause they are raising money for. Viewers can interact with the commentators and other viewers via IRC chat on Justin.tv (formerly Ustream). The group has raised $267,951.80 for various charities. The next marathon will be a week long Star Wars marathon starting at 6 pm CST July 8th for Red Cross.
