Zee Next was a Hindi language general entertainment channel established by Zee Entertainment Enterprises promoted by Essel Group based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The channel was launched on December 11, 2007 in India, and was available on almost all cable operators in India. With the evolution of TV viewing audiences, this channel offers a very refreshing and blooming entertainment aimed at bridging the generation gap. Catering to the needs of the entire spectrum of television audiences, the channel offers a wide assortment of programming across genres ranging from comedy-dramas to the most entertaining reality shows. The channel was shut down on September 7, 2008, nearly a year after its launch due to high costs and lack of investors.
