If in the course of the substantive examination it is found that there is a possibility of total or partial violation of the acquired rights of third parties, or that additional or complementary information or documentation is necessary, it shall be required of the applicant in writing, so that he, within a maximum period of three months following the notification, may present such arguments and explanations as he considers relevant, or submit the information or documentation required.
