Exivious is a heavy metal band, featuring former members of American progressive metal band Cynic and Dutch band Textures. They released one self-titled album independently. Exivious incorporate heavy metal riffs with a jazz fusion approach to phrasing and time signatures, complex rhythms and free improvisation. In May 2010, after selling out of their limited edition box, Kruidenier announced that Exivious had disbanded. This came due to differing schedules and commitments that the members were facing individually. In December 2010, Krudenier and Zielhorst departed from Cynic, reforming Exivious in the process.
