1. (uncountable) An early photographic process used in the 19th century for reproducing images, particularly maps and plans.
   • 1882 April 8, The Publishers’ Weekly., number 534, page 386:

     E. & H.T. ANTHONY & Co. issue a large photo-engraving printed in what is called “Indotint” of the “Garfield Family,” comprising parents, children, and grandmother.
