A projection lens and iris moving unit 54 moves the projection lens within a plane perpendicular to an optical axis of the projector, based on a result of determination by the position determination processing unit.

The microlithography projection optical system is provided with an accessible diaphragm plane 2000 with sufficient space, into which for instance an iris diaphragm can be introduced.

A shielding layer 2 having an iris aperture for limiting a pencil of rays is formed in either plane part at an entrance surface side or an exit surface side of a photographing lens 1, and a color filter which transmits rays having a specific wavelength is provided in a protection member 3.

An intraocular lens 4 is provided with an optical portion 7 consisting of a transparent and deformable material, at least one support portion radially projecting from the optical portion for supporting the optical portion in a position parallel to an anterior iris surface plane, and at least one aperture 13 surrounded with the support portion.
