Beth Behrs was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia. She began performing in theatre at the age of five. When she was 15, her family relocated to San Francisco where Behrs began studying and performing at the Tony Award winning American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.). While at A.C.T., she performed in the world premiere of the musical "Dangling Conversations: The Music of Simon and Garfunkel" as well as the West Coast premiere of Jeffrey Hatcher’s play “Korczak's Children.” In addition she worked in commercials and print. These opportunities led Behrs to be named a 2002 California Arts Scholar in Acting by Governor Gray Davis. As part of this honor, she spent the summer studying with Academy Award winner Helen Hunt at Cal Arts in Valencia, California. Behrs was subsequently accepted into UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film and Television in 2004, focusing on acting. During this period, she performed in Tony Kushner’s “A Bright Room Called Day” at UCLA’s Macgowen Theatre. After graduating from UCLA in June, 2008, Behrs won the coveted Young Musician’s Foundation Vocal Scholarship the following August. Most recently she completed a pilot for Buena Vista Television entitled Size Zero Heroes. She is currently filming the indie comedy "Serial Buddies", starring opposite Maria Menounos, Christopher Lloyd, Kathy Lee Gifford and Artie Lange.
