ENIAC<electronic numerical integrator and computer;electronic numerical integrator and calculator>
世界最初のコンピュータ.1946年に,アメリカのP.エッカートとJ.W.モークリーが中心となって作り上げた.記憶装置に真空管回路を応用し,重さ130トン,18,800本の真空管が使われた.10進法を使って米陸軍の弾道計算を行った.
コンピュータの歴史の始まりといえる.
