The noun Polack (pronounced /ˈpoʊlɑːk, -læk/), in the English language, is a reference to a Pole or person of Polish descent. It is considered offensive in some contexts.. It is an Anglicisation of the Polish language word Polak, which means a Polish male person (feminine being Polka). Although the Polish word has a neutral connotation, the English loanword "Polack" can be used as an insult, sometimes (but not always) with the specific implication that Polish people are especially unintelligent.
