Punkhouse was the debut EP by the American punk rock band Screeching Weasel. It was released in 1989 through Limited Potential Records. It was the band's first release on Limited Potential Records. It was also the band's first release to feature Danny Vapid (then known as Sewercap) on bass (later guitar). It was also the only non-compilation album to feature drummer Brian Vermin. After the original pressing went out of print, Ben Weasel repressed it himself on his own label without any sleeves. The most recent pressing was by Selfless Records in 1993 and is no longer available. In the liner notes, Ben dedicates the EP to all those living in punkhouses around the country. The songs are rougher than the more pop-based sound the band came to be known for. The entire EP was recorded without Jughead's guitar. When he overdubbed his tracks, the band was getting impatient and made him hurry, resulting in no one noticing that his guitar was out of tune with the rest of the guitars on the recording. Ben has called the EP his "least favorite Weasel release".

A punk house is a dwelling occupied by members of the punk subculture. Punk houses are similar to the hippie crash pads of the 1960s and the slan shacks of science fiction fandom. The Factory, an alternative living space founded by Andy Warhol as the home base of The Velvet Underground, is directly linked to the formation of punk rock in New York City. In the early 1980s, a few punk gangs developed around allegiance to certain punk houses.
